Enmore Road (West) Art, Newtown
Enmore Road, Newtown – Street Art, Sydney – Artist; Fintan Magee
Fintan Magee’s Newtown ‘Housing Bubble’ Mural, commissioned by the Inner West Council’s Perfect Match Program, was completed in August 2015 with more from Fintan Magee just around the corner on Wilford Street
“This work captures the happenings in the housing market in Sydney around 2015. The property prices rose a massive 9.8% and due to this many young people are priced out of an area they have been living in for years. This Artwork depicts a young creative couple, Rob and Renee, locals living in a warehouse. Due to gentrification in the area, they live in fear of losing their rental warehouse home and losing the Australian dream of owning your own home”
